Some of you have been asking me this and I have no good answer. I was camera crazy in Togo and I just can’t be asked to pick up my camera in Shanghai. I think I’m travel and camera weary, but I still have several modules to complete for this photography diploma and I’m determined to finish by March.  This weekend I hope to get out and take some shots of the city, but any words of encouragement would be appreciated. I’ve lost my mojo!

Safari Pics

Jason and I survived our month long camping safari in Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda and Tanzania.  There were many, many long days travelling on the truck but we saw some really incredible things.  It was definitely our best trip yet.  Here are the first batch of animal shots with many more to come over the next few weeks.

Last day in Todome

Well, I have just over a week left in Togo before we go on a month long safari and then move on to Shanghai.  I’m still trying to find a way to articulate exactly what this year has meant to me so I can write a final blog post, final for Togo anyway. In the meantime, here are a few more shots of the children in Todome.

The Road to Dakar

Here are some update promotional images for Benoit’s exhibit which has now been scheduled for June at the Palm Beach Hotel.  These sculptures are still in progress and stand about 12 inches high.

The rainy season has begun, and so out come the snails.  We saw this one just outside our front door this morning. Jason put a potato beside it for scale, and now I think they make quite a lovely couple.
